School District Says Students Ordering Food For Delivery Creates A “Significant Safety Risk”

NEVADA – The Washoe County School District says that when students at Spanish Springs High School order food to be brought to them, it poses a “significant safety risk.”

According to a Connect Ed call sent to the families of Spanish Springs High School students, the number of students ordering food through (Uber Eats, Door Dash, etc.)

The school district says that they don’t let students order food to be delivered because it’s a security risk because it lets a lot of strangers into the campus without being watched.

As a possible way to deal with this safety risk, the school district is asking parents to talk to their student(s) about this issue.
