RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – A project to build new sanitary sewage pipes in Stead will create traffic delays until the spring of 2023.
The construction will have an impact on traffic on Stead Boulevard between Lear Boulevard and N. Starting Wednesday, Virginia Street will be closed until further notice.
Stead Boulevard traffic will be limited to one lane in each direction, with the chance of delays due to construction.
From October 17 to October 22, Lear Boulevard from Moya Boulevard to Stead Boulevard will be restricted to commercial use only.
Between Lear Boulevard and North Virginia Street, about 9,600 feet of new sanitary sewage pipe will be built, with the city hoping that this would enhance the quality and capacity of current sewer infrastructure for North Valley residents.
Although efforts will be made to reduce traffic delays, the city advises drivers to plan for extra time when travelling in this region.
