According to the Southern Nevada Health District, a man with monkeypox has died.
The patient was a man in his fifties who lived in Clark County.
According to the health district, he had underlying medical issues.
His death is being blamed on other factors.
The health district is warning the public that monkeypox may affect anybody.
If infected with the virus, those with impaired immune systems are at a higher risk of severe sickness and complications.
The Southern Nevada Health District reported 270 confirmed and probable cases in Clark County as of October 18.
On Wednesday, Washoe County announced the 21st case of monkeypox.
