RENO, Nev. (775 Times, NV Globe) – A new pilot program that would allow parents to bring their young children to work has been announced by the Nevada State Treasurer.
Employees of the State Treasurer’s Office who are new parents are authorized to bring their baby infants to work until the kid is six months old.
The Treasurer’s Office expects the initiative would lessen barriers for new parents as they adjust to returning to work and allow for extended parent-infant bonding opportunities.
They anticipate that this new strategy will improve employee retention, draw in fresh talent, and lower childcare expenses for workers.
“It’s no secret that Nevada is facing a high number of vacancies for State positions,” said Treasurer Zach Conine. “Through this new pilot program, the Treasurer’s Office will do its best to support new and expectant parents, while also creating an environment that supports working families.”
Employees of the Treasurer’s Office who desire to take part in this pilot initiative must let their supervisor know. The employee will next work with that supervisor to develop a work schedule and any required modifications to guarantee the safety of the child.
