Three Killed in Humboldt County Car Crash Near Winnemucca
NEVADA – Friday, Nevada State Police reported that a deadly automobile crash in Humboldt County near Winnemucca claimed the lives of three individuals.
A preliminary NSP investigation has determined that a red Jeep SUV was going north on US-95 on October 30 when, for unknown reasons, it crossed the centerline into the southbound lane and collided with a Dodge pickup.
The incident caused the Jeep to veer to the right, leaving the roadway and resting on the dirt shoulder. Additionally, the Dodge veered to the right, leading it to exit the road, come to rest on the dirt shoulder, and catch fire.
According to the NSP, both the adult male driver of the Jeep and the adult female front passenger of the Dodge succumbed to their injuries and were declared deceased at the spot.
The driver and a boy juvenile passenger of a Dodge were carried away from the accident scene for medical treatment, with serious injuries suspected. The Dodge’s young passenger succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead at the hospital.
