NEVADA – The Truckee Meadows Water Authority has recently released its comprehensive Water Quality Report for the year 2022, reaffirming its commitment to meeting and surpassing the standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as well as state, local, and federal water quality regulations. The report includes a detailed analysis of various regulated water contaminants, all of which are found to be within the accepted range.
Kelli Burgess, the Water Quality and Environmental Permitting Manager at TMWA, highlighted the significance of having a pristine water source like Lake Tahoe. “We are very fortunate to have access to such a pure water source, and our annual water quality report serves as an opportunity for us to provide our customers with tangible evidence of the high quality of water they receive,” she stated.
In addition to the release of the report, TMWA is inviting the public to participate in guided tours of their facility in Reno this September. The tours offer a chance to learn more about the water treatment process and gain insights into TMWA’s commitment to delivering clean and safe water to the community. A list of available tour dates can be found on TMWA’s website.
The Water Quality Report and the facility tours are part of TMWA’s ongoing efforts to ensure transparency and maintain public trust in the water supply system. By consistently exceeding regulatory requirements, TMWA aims to provide its customers with the highest quality water possible.
Join the conversation and learn more about TMWA’s initiatives by visiting their website or attending one of the scheduled facility tours this September.
