NEVADA – According to authorities, two persons were killed and three others were injured in a wrong-way crash early Saturday morning.
According to Nevada State Police, three vehicles collided in the northbound lanes of the 215 south of Town Center Dr. around 2:40 a.m.
Investigators believe a white Cadillac was heading in the wrong direction when it collided head-on with a Chevrolet pickup truck. A Nissan was also involved in the crash.
The woman driving the Cadillac died at the scene, according to NSP. It’s unclear whether she was impaired.
According to police, the guy driving the pickup truck died at the spot, while his passenger was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries. According to investigators, both the driver and passenger of the Nissan were brought to UMC with moderate injuries.
After an hours-long closure, the 215 northbound lanes are now open.
This is the eighth fatal crash for the Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol – Southern Command in 2023.
