NEVADA – On Thursday afternoon, deputies in Washoe County caught a suspect in a hit-and-run accident involving a youngster who had just gotten off a school bus.
Upon arriving at the scene, deputies discovered the victim receiving care from fellow students and the vigilant school bus driver.
Following a thorough investigation, law enforcement officials identified the driver as 45-year-old Mario Alberto Martinez.
Deputies wasted no time in placing Martinez under arrest for driving under the influence, marking his third offense.
The injured child was swiftly transported to a local hospital for necessary medical attention under the care of REMSA.
