NEVADA – Crews from the Reno Fire Department swiftly responded to a water rescue incident on the Truckee River in west Reno on Friday evening. The incident occurred near Ambrose Park, close to River and Rainshadow Lanes, at approximately 7:30 p.m.
According to firefighters on the scene, a woman had been kayaking down the river when she accidentally fell out of her kayak. Fortunately, the woman managed to make it to the riverbank by her own means before the rescue team arrived.
Upon arrival, REMSA paramedics conducted a thorough check-up on the woman to ensure her well-being. Thankfully, she sustained no injuries during the kayaking mishap, and no further medical attention was required.
