A 6-Day-Old Baby in Las Vegas Tragically Passed Away Due to What Authorities Believe Were Hazardous Sleeping Arrangements
LAS VEGAS – Last week, a 6-day-old baby in Las Vegas tragically passed away due to what authorities believe were hazardous sleeping arrangements.
The office of the Clark County coroner has confirmed that Lotti Newkirt passed away at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center on Saturday. The 30th of October is the date of her birth.
As of Thursday morning, the coroner’s office had not determined the cause and manner of her death.
Authorities were worried about the child’s sleeping arrangements, according to a report from the Department of Family Services.
As stated in the report, she was discovered unresponsive in a Las Vegas residence and afterward rushed to the nearest hospital. Not a single member of her family had ever been involved with CPS before.
Police in Las Vegas did not release a statement immediately because they were still investigating the incident.
