A 6-Year-Old Boy Alerted the Neighborhood to the Murder of His Mother
LAS VEGAS – Police in Las Vegas say a 6-year-old boy who witnessed his mother being shot early on Thursday morning notified nearby residents.
The SW valley, close to Russell Road and Buffalo Drive, saw police dispatched to the 5800 block of Spectacular Bid Street around 1:20 a.m. A 46-year-old lady had been shot when police arrived.
An afternoon Metro report suggests that the woman was murdered by her boyfriend. The LVMPD did not reveal his identity in their press release.
Lt. Dave Valenta of the LVMPD speculated that a six-year-old was responsible for informing a neighbor that “mother” had been shot. After that, “that neighbor dialed 911.”
The child, according to the investigation, made an effort to get assistance. On the spot, the woman’s death was confirmed.
Her boyfriend, according to the police, rode off on a street motorcycle.
