Alvin Kamara is being sued for $10 million after an assault accusation in February
The man who previously accused the New Orleans Saints running back of assault in a Las Vegas casino is suing Alvin Kamara for $10 million.
The complaint names Darnell Green of Harris County, Texas, as the plaintiff. According to the lawsuit, Greene has continued to undergo medical treatment, and the injuries he acquired during the alleged assault may necessitate many surgical procedures.
ESPN reports that the case was filed on Friday in the Civil District Court of New Orleans. It was stated that Kamara pushed Greene into a wall and repeatedly hit him in the face.
The lawsuit alleges that, in addition to Kamara, three other individuals stomped on Greene’s chest, legs, and face. Greene became unconscious and sustained an orbital fracture to one of his eyes, according to the police report.
As they were leaving the club, the plaintiff accuses Kamara of bragging about the assault to one of his friends.
The alleged assault occurred around 6 a.m. on February 5 near an elevator at Drai’s nightclub outside the Cromwell Casino, according to the Las Vegas Police Department.
The altercation began, according to the police, when Kamara placed his hand on the man’s chest to prevent him from entering the elevator. The man then removed his hand from Kamara’s.
Kamara competed in the NFL Pro Bowl at Allegiant Stadium a few hours later. Police interrogated him following the game.
Later on, Kamara was arrested on accusations of felony battery resulting in serious bodily injury. Shortly after posting bail, he was released from the Clark County jail.
Several court proceedings that were scheduled have been postponed. The next hearing is planned for 9 November.
