Band Teacher Arrested Following Investigation of Inappropriate Student Relationship

Clark County School District Police have arrested 30-year-old band teacher Cole Horton on charges alleging an inappropriate relationship with a student during the 2024–25 school year at Basic Academy of International Studies. Horton, who has been employed by the district since November 2019, was taken into custody and booked into the Clark County Detention Center. The district has placed him on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the legal process.
