LAS VEGAS – A fire that erupted at the Tides on Charleston apartment complex in west Las Vegas resulted in injuries to six residents and one firefighter. The incident, which took place around 5 a.m., led to the displacement of more than a dozen individuals on Tuesday morning.
According to the Las Vegas Fire Department, one building was completely destroyed, while maintenance workers were assessing whether two other buildings would require evacuation.
The fire department reported that two individuals sustained serious injuries, with four others in stable condition, although specific details about their conditions were not immediately available. Additionally, a firefighter was hospitalized with minor injuries.
As a result of the fire, 14 people have been displaced. If the two additional buildings are evacuated, nine more individuals could be affected.
Firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze within two hours. However, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
