LAS VEGAS – In the early hours of Thursday morning, a tragic single-vehicle crash resulted in the death of the driver in the northwest Las Vegas Valley. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 1:27 a.m. near the intersection of N. Durango Drive and Elkhorn Road.
Reports suggest that the vehicle was carrying a passenger who sustained only minor injuries and was taken to UMC for medical attention. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle was killed on impact.
In a separate incident on the same day, a three-vehicle crash near the airport connector claimed the life of an adult male. LVMPD stated that one of the vehicles involved in the collision had rolled over.
The police department further disclosed that at least two individuals were transported to Sunrise Trauma, following the crash. Paradise Road north of Flight Path had to be temporarily shut down while authorities conducted their investigation into the incident.
The cause of both crashes is yet to be determined. The authorities urge drivers to remain cautious on the roads and adhere to traffic regulations to avoid accidents.
