Beverly Theater in Las Vegas Announces Grand Opening Week Lineup

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – The line-up for the Beverly Theater’s official opening has been revealed. The programming cornerstones of the independent theater will be highlighted over a week of activities in March.

“Our city has never had a true art house and my hope is that The Beverly Theater provides an opportunity for people to see and experience things they haven’t yet been able to see in Las Vegas,” Beverly Rogers, chair of the Rogers Foundation and the theater’s namesake, said in a news release.

A red-carpet screening of the Korean movie “Past Lives,” which has just aired at the Sundance Film Festival, will kick off the festivities on Friday, March 3.

Following the screening, there will be an open house party and a public Q&A with producers Pamela Koffler and Christine Vachon.

In collaboration with The Writer’s Block and Black Mountain Institute, there will be a public film screening on March 4 and 5 as well as literary events.

The LIT activities will include a range of readings, author Q&As, and debates, as well as a showing of the film “First Reformed” and a conversation with the writer and director, Paul Schrader.

Ekoh, a self-employed musician from Las Vegas, will play live on Tuesday, March 7.

Three district sections will be housed in the two-story, 14,000 square foot building: a main theater, a terrace, and a courtyard. It is situated where 6th Street and Bonneville Avenue intersect.

Public activities held in the community are free, however space is limited and an RSVP is necessary. For additional information, visit TheBeverlyTheater.com.
