LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – The College of Southern Nevada’s Division of Workforce and Economic Development currently offers certificate programs in the cannabis sector.
CSN has collaborated with Green Flower, a “national leader in cannabis education,” to offer three cannabis certificate programs, according to a news release.
According to the statement, as part of the cooperation, CSN will provide certificate programs for advanced dispensary associate, advanced manufacturing agent, and advanced cultivation technician.
“Partnering with the Las Vegas community and the needs of its workforce is always a priority for the Division of Workforce and Economic Development. “Our partnership with Green Flower will propel us into another top Las Vegas industry where we will prepare local talent for relevant and emerging opportunities support social and economic mobility for all,” said Stavan Corbett, CSN Director of Business Development, Division of Workforce and Economic Development.
According to the press release, each of the courses begins with the fundamentals of compliance. The courses thereafter differ according to the program.
According to CSN, students in the advanced manufacturing agent program will study about cannabis processing and producing cannabis-infused goods.
Similarly, students who choose the advanced cultivation technician degree will study botany and best methods for producing and nurturing cannabis plants, according to CSN.
Students will be able to study the ins and outs of working in cannabis sales through the advanced dispensary associate program.
According to CSN, each certificate program lasts eight weeks and is entirely online, allowing students to enrol and begin classes at any time.
Graduates will obtain a “Credly credential” and will have access to Green Flower’s employment network, according to the school.
Courses cost $750 and are currently available for enrollment, according to CSN. For further information or to register, go to:
