The body of a man discovered in the trunk of a car at a Las Vegas apartment complex earlier this month has been identified by the Clark County Coroner’s office.
Amir Haggi died from gunshot wounds to the head, and his death has been ruled a homicide, according to the coroner’s office.
Haggi’s age and hometown were not immediately available.
The body of Haggi was discovered in the trunk of a white BMW parked at the Budget Suites on Tropicana Avenue near Procyon Way on Friday, Aug. 19.
Lt. Jason Johansson said at the time that dispatch received a call about a “foul odor” coming from the car. Officers detected the odor and discovered human remains inside the trunk.
Johansson described it as a clear case of homicide, but no additional information was provided.
