LAS VEGAS – Two people lost their lives in separate attacks on Sunday, according to Las Vegas police. One of the victims was a woman who was fatally stabbed in the east valley.
The first incident occurred just before 5 a.m. when officers responded to a fight among three men in the 4800 block of West Tropicana Avenue, near South Decatur Boulevard. During the altercation, two of the men were shot, and one of them succumbed to his injuries at University Medical Center. The shooter fled the scene before the police arrived. As of Monday afternoon, the identities of the individuals involved had not been disclosed, and no additional information regarding the incident was released by the Metropolitan Police Department.
In a separate incident, a woman was fatally stabbed around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday in the 2900 block of East Charleston Boulevard, near North Mojave Road. Las Vegas Metro provided a second statement on Monday, stating that Robert Lara, the woman’s boyfriend, was arrested and charged with murder in connection with her death. Further details pertaining to the stabbing were not immediately available.
