Las Vegas, Nevada – A tragic incident unfolded in the east Las Vegas Valley on Friday night, claiming the life of one individual in a fatal crash. The heart-wrenching collision took place at approximately 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of South Nellis Boulevard and Spyglass Hill Drive, as reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
According to the preliminary investigation, a 2007 Dodge Charger was traveling in a northbound direction on Nellis Boulevard, nearing the intersection with Spyglass Hill Drive. It was at this juncture that the Dodge Charger executed a left turn, intersecting the path of a 2007 Toyota Avalon traveling in a southbound direction on Nellis Boulevard.
The resulting impact was devastating. Tragically, the passenger of the Dodge Charger bore the brunt of the collision and sustained severe injuries. Despite immediate medical attention and being transported to University Medical Center, the victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, succumbed to their injuries.
In a concerning turn of events, law enforcement at the scene reported that the driver of the Dodge Charger exhibited signs of impairment. As a result, they were placed under arrest, highlighting the potentially devastating consequences of impaired driving.
