LAS VEGAS – Former actor Nathan Chasing Horse has been indicted by a grand jury in Las Vegas on 19 charges of sexual assault, most of which involve victims under the age of 16.
The charges include 10 counts of sexual assault with a minor under 16, six counts of sexual assault, open and gross lewdness, kidnapping of a minor, and trafficking a controlled substance, with the crimes allegedly committed between 2014 and 2020.
Chasing Horse, who was arrested on January 31, is accused of portraying himself as a “medicine man” to gain the trust of indigenous families and children, using that trust to groom young girls in the community before raping, physically abusing, and trafficking them.
He is also facing federal charges and has warrants for his arrest in Montana and Canada.
Chasing Horse’s bail has been set at $300,000, and his next court date is March 1.
