Las Vegas – is set to experience its warmest day of the year on Sunday, with a high of 77 degrees Fahrenheit and sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service. However, the pleasant weather will be short-lived as winds are expected to pick up later in the day.
Southwest winds of 5-15 mph will shift to the east in the afternoon and could gust as high as 22 mph. A high wind watch has been issued for the entire region from Sunday evening to late Monday night. West winds of 30-40 mph are expected to gust between 55-65 mph.
Residents in Las Vegas should be prepared for patchy blowing dust after 10 p.m., with winds gusting up to 44 mph during the night. The low temperature on Monday is expected to be around 52 degrees Fahrenheit, with blowing dust possibly causing visibility issues before 2 p.m. and again around midnight. The high temperature for Monday is projected to be around 60 degrees Fahrenheit, and windy conditions will continue into the night with gusts up to 36 mph.
Tuesday’s high is also expected to be near 60 degrees Fahrenheit before temperatures gradually rise to normal levels later in the week. As the wind and dust subside, residents can look forward to more comfortable and stable weather in the coming days.
