LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – The California Highway Patrol (CHP) and the Nevada State Patrol (NSP) want you to know they’re watching and will give you a ticket if you break any traffic regulations.
So far, NSP has issued 291 citations and 254 speeding tickets as they work with CHP to keep roadways safe this holiday weekend.
During the Wednesday operation, a motorist was also nabbed for a hit-and-run collision that resulted in a DUI arrest.
On nearby roadways, NSP was also helped by Las Vegas Metro, Henderson PD, NLV PD, and Boulder City PD.
The CHP performed 71 traffic stops, with 45 speeding offenses.
They are informing drivers that this region is a zero-tolerance zone.
This implies that even minor traffic violations will be punished over the holiday week.
Drivers are also cautioned to expect major traffic delays when traveling from Las Vegas to California, where NSP will conduct another maximum enforcement operation on Sunday.
