LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – Clark County firemen are planning a three-week toy drive to aid local families.
Beginning Thursday, December 1, residents are urged to drop off new, unopened presents or gift cards at any Clark County fire station during business hours (9 a.m.). from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week till Sunday, December 18.
Donations can be made to rural volunteer fire stations through Friday, December 16.
Beginning Saturday, December 3, fire departments will participate in ‘Fill-the-Truck’ toy drives outside selected Walmart shops.
From 9 a.m., fire engines and volunteer off-duty firemen from several agencies will be stationed outside stores. Saturday and Sunday, December 3 and 4; December 10 and 11; and December 17 and 18. from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The following Walmart locations are participating:
- 6464 N. Decatur Blvd./I-215
- 540 Marks St./Sunset Road.
- 7200 Arroyo Crossing Parkway/Rainbow & I-215 (Clark County Fire Department location)
- 201 N. Nellis Blvd./Charleston Blvd.
- 8060 W. Tropical Parkway (Centennial & U.S. 95)
The deadline to send off things for the Burn Foundation’s toy drive is Monday, December 19, at the office located at 3111 S. Suite B-111, Valley View Blvd. Drop-offs will be available beginning at 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on that particular day.
All gifts and gift cards will be delivered to over 40 local organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club, Salvation Army, schools, and churches, once collected.
