LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – Police in North Las Vegas are still looking for a suspect in a carjacking in November in which the victim shot and killed one of the suspects.
On November 19th, a lady told officers she stopped to pick up a buddy on their way to a Friendsgiving dinner. According to the woman, the couple arrived too early for the party and opted to park near the residence on San Miguel Avenue and Coleman Street to wait. According to the arrest report, she stated that she spotted a car approaching them quickly. The suspects, she claims, parked immediately in front of her car, obstructing it. She informed officers that two black guys exited the car, pistols aimed towards the women.
The men shouted at the women to exit the vehicle. Before she could grasp what was going on, one of the men unlocked the driver’s side door and yanked her out of the car by the shirt. One of the men climbed into the driver’s seat and attempted to drive away, but was unable to engage the vehicle’s transmission. The woman stated that driving the automobile needs pressing a button. The guy struggled and placed his pistol in his lap while attempting to take the automobile. The woman instructed her pal to flee.
According to the complaint, a second suspect entered the passenger seat and urged the first suspect, “Just go,” after which the lady saw the suspect was no longer carrying the pistol. According to the account, she took it off his lap and fled. The man tackled her from behind seconds later. According to the report, she tried to get the man to let go, but he gripped her tightly. She then turned around and shot him.
She told cops she didn’t know if she shot him once or twice. According to the police report, the second suspect began firing at her. The woman dashed to a home and took refuge in a side yard. The lady informed investigators that the pistol had jammed and that she had repaired it. According to the report, she heard what she thought was the second suspect yell that his companion had been shot. She informed officers that she came out and approached the cops when she heard sirens. The woman was handcuffed but afterwards informed that she was not under arrest.
Officers came to find a deceased male adult bleeding from the head on the roadway. According to the complaint, the individual was wearing a black ski mask, jacket, and trousers. Throughout the inquiry, police observed a vehicle of interest casing the area on various security recordings.
