LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – A lady was struck and killed by a car as she crossed Boulder Highway outside of a crosswalk soon after midnight Wednesday.
A accident was reported about 12:10 a.m. by Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol. Trooper Ashlee Wellman said the incident happened on Boulder Highway at the Lamb Boulevard/Desert Inn Road intersection.
Investigators discovered that a silver Maserati was travelling east when a woman crossed into the far-left traffic lane, outside of a designated crosswalk.
According to Wellman, the Maserati struck the woman and she was declared deceased at the spot.
It’s unclear if speed or impairment had a role in the incident.
