Las Vegas, Nevada – A Las Vegas man, Joshua Kenneth Eshe, has been sentenced to prison following a conviction for possessing over 125 sexually explicit images of children on his mobile phone, as reported by the U.S. Department of Justice. Eshe, 34, entered a guilty plea in June to one count of child pornography and was also mandated to register as a sex offender.
The legal proceedings stemmed from an alarming incident that occurred on March 14, 2022. Court documents reveal that on that date, Joshua Eshe visited a website notorious for prostitution advertisements and initiated contact with the poster of an advertisement provocatively titled “Young and Tight.”
In a deeply disturbing turn of events, Eshe subsequently solicited an individual he believed to be a 15-year-old child, proposing a sexual encounter and agreeing to pay $100, as per court records. An arrangement was made to meet at a hotel, but his intentions were thwarted when law enforcement apprehended him upon arrival at the designated room.
During a thorough search of Eshe’s mobile phone, investigators made the shocking discovery of 126 explicit photos and four videos depicting child pornography, further compounding the seriousness of his offences.
Due to his conviction, Joshua Kenneth Eshe has been sentenced to serve 97 months in federal prison. His prison term will be followed by a lifetime of supervised release, a measure aimed at ensuring the community’s safety.
