LAS VEGAS – Just before 6 p.m., police said they received a 911 call from a man who stated he had just shot a man in the home.

The caller then told police he was armed with a gun and that he was removing the ammunition from the gun and placing it on a table before exiting the home.

At a news conference Friday night, police said that they believed the man who called 911 was the woman’s current boyfriend and had opened fire on the ex-boyfriend when he walked in and noticed the two in a physical altercation.

When officers arrived, they took the man who had called the police into custody without incident.

The woman then exited the home and was also taken into custody.

When officers entered the home, they found the body of a man in his 30s who had gunshot wounds.

He was taken to UMC where he was pronounced dead.

No charges were filed Friday night, and all parties involved were said to be cooperating with the investigation, according to police at the scene.

The public is asked to contact Crimestoppers with any information they may have regarding the case at 702-385-5555.
