North Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide after a man succumbed to injuries from a brutal attack early Sunday morning. Officers were dispatched around 2:10 a.m. to an apartment complex on Bassler Street, where they found a man suffering from life-threatening wounds, the result of what authorities classified as a “battery with a deadly weapon.”

Despite being rushed to University Medical Center Trauma, the victim could not be saved — yet another life lost amid the violent crime crisis that soft-on-crime politicians refuse to address. Once again, the suspects responsible fled the scene before law enforcement arrived, illustrating how emboldened criminals have become when consequences seem almost non-existent.

This ongoing investigation is a stark reminder of the importance of supporting law enforcement, enforcing tough-on-crime policies, and restoring order to our communities before lawlessness becomes the new normal. North Las Vegas residents deserve better — and it’s high time we start demanding accountability.
