LAS VEGAS – According to authorities, a man sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a train in the central Las Vegas valley.
Saturday at 2:06 p.m., a southbound Union Pacific train at West Wyoming Avenue and Industrial Drive spotted a man standing next to the rails, according to police.
According to the authorities, the train blew its horn repeatedly and used the emergency brake. However, the edge of the train struck the homeless man, leading him to endure life-threatening injuries.
The individual was sent to University Medical Center. The police determined that this incident was an accident based on witness accounts.
