LAS VEGAS – The MSG Sphere, the upcoming state-of-the-art entertainment venue in Las Vegas, is set to showcase NBA Summer League content on its exterior during the 11-day competition starting this Friday. According to a Sphere Entertainment news release, the basketball-themed display will be visible to all passersby and fans.
The debut of Victor Wembanyama, the NBA’s No. 1 pick, has been one of the most exciting events of the Summer League. On Friday at a sold-out Thomas & Mack Center, Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs will face the Charlotte Hornets in what is expected to be a thrilling game.
The MSG Sphere has already transformed the Exosphere into a basketball arena with a welcome message to teams, players, and fans at the start of the annual event. The facility will officially open on September 29 with the first of 25 sold-out performances of “U2:UV Achtung Baby Live.” Meanwhile, the highly-anticipated immersive production “Postcard from Earth,” directed by Darren Aronofsky, is set to premiere on October 6, with tickets still available for purchase.
