Nevada State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Sunday morning, causing closures on Cheyenne Avenue eastbound at the 215 Beltway.
According to authorities, a single vehicle crashed and caught fire. Tragically, one woman was confirmed dead at the scene. Three juveniles who were also in the vehicle were transported to a nearby hospital and are reportedly in stable condition.
The eastbound lanes of Cheyenne Avenue at the 215 were shut down for several hours to allow for investigation and scene clearance. All lanes were reopened by approximately 4:30 p.m.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Nevada State Police are reminding drivers to prioritize safety on the roads. This includes practicing safe driving habits such as maintaining a safe speed, avoiding distractions like cell phones, and always wearing a seatbelt.
