North Las Vegas Kindergartener Donated $800 From His Lemonade Stand to the Southern Nevada American Red Cross Chapter

North Las Vegas kindergartener donated $800 from his lemonade stand to the Southern Nevada American Red Cross Chapter.

Henry Williams, 6, woke up before 7 a.m. on Oct. 15 to sell lemonade, iced tea, banana bread, and cookies at his lemonade stand. The lemonade stand sold out by 11 a.m. after his father posted on a Facebook community page the night before and the next morning.

Williams and his family gave the American Red Cross of Southern Nevada the proceeds from his lemonade stand on Thursday. His donations support vital fire alarms, like the ones that saved a North Las Vegas family of seven.

Williams informed Flanigan, “It’s for everything you do.” Flanigan claimed Williams’ gift will protect 40 families.

She plans to secure 400 Southern Nevada properties this year.

Elmo and Cookie Monster had a lemonade stand to give books to a local library. He told his parents he wanted to volunteer.

“Henry approached me about creating a charity lemonade sale to give back,” said the 6-year-mother, old’s Heather Williams. The Red Cross donates smoke detectors and helps with home fires, so he wanted them.

When his dad returned from duty, they planned the lemonade stand.

Williams’ father and grandfather squeezed lemons for the business. Brother, 3, helped bake banana bread.

Flanigan said the Red Cross appreciates all donations. Henry’s gift and tale made us cry. A small child’s sense of giving is touching.

After selling out by midday, he convinced his parents and grandfather to double his donations, totaling $881.88.

Henry Williams has started planning his next lemonade stand and told his mom they’ll need additional supplies.

Heather Williams is proud of him.
