Valley Residents Are Asked to Donate to the Red Cross as Relief Operations in Florida Continue

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – The American Red Cross of Southern Nevada is seeking community assistance as it continues disaster relief work in Florida following Hurricane Ian.
The Red Cross is calling for donations to fund disaster relief operations not only in Florida, but also in Alaska, Puerto Rico, and everywhere else tragedy may strike.
More than 1,500 trained Red Cross disaster volunteers from all 50 states, according to the organization, have served more than 140,000 meals and snacks to those in need.
Trained Red Cross volunteers are also assisting families in dealing with this difficult time by replacing prescription drugs, eyeglasses, and necessary medical equipment such as canes and wheelchairs.
