Las Vegas, NV —Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) arrested Brandon Tenorio, 39, for the suspected stabbing death of his fiancée. The event occurred on Wednesday evening after a verbal disagreement at a property in the 3500 block of Mountain Valley Drive in the northwest portion of Las Vegas.
At just before 8 p.m., LVMPD responded to a report of a possible injured person at the specified address. Upon arrival, officers discovered Brandon Tenorio inside the residence and an unresponsive female, who showed signs of serious trauma and apparent stab wounds. Tragically, she was pronounced dead at the scene, as stated in the official news release.
Homicide detectives, delving into the circumstances surrounding the incident, determined that Tenorio had engaged in a verbal dispute with his girlfriend. The situation escalated, with Tenorio allegedly resorting to violence, using both a sharp object and a blunt instrument during the altercation. Disturbingly, another individual present at the scene was reportedly held against their will by Tenorio.
Fortunately, this third party managed to escape the residence and promptly alerted law enforcement. Responding officers swiftly took Tenorio into custody. He has since been booked into the Clark County Detention Center on charges of open murder involving a deadly weapon, assault with a deadly weapon, and kidnapping with a deadly weapon.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the official identification of the victim.
