On Friday Afternoon in North Las Vegas, a Woman Was Killed in a Single-Vehicle Accident
LAS VEGAS – On Friday afternoon, a woman was killed in a single-car accident in North Las Vegas.
The accident occurred on October 28 at about noon, according to the North Las Vegas Police Department, at the intersection of N. Aliante Parkway and W. Corvine Drive.
An officer responded to a report of a Jeep driving south on Aliante near Centennial. The police reported that for “unknown reasons,” the Jeep drove off the road and crashed into a tree.
The female driver, who was in her fifties, was taken to the hospital but died later. Once the next of kin has been notified, the victim will be identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
As of now, NLVPD says impairment is suspected of having played a role in the incident, but further research is needed. The section of Aliante between Corvine and Centennial that runs southbound is currently closed while police look into a crash that occurred there.
