A stabbing in southeast Las Vegas early Thursday left one person dead and another in critical condition.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported the incident occurred just after 6:30 a.m. in the 5100 block of East Tropicana Avenue. Officers responding to the scene found two people on the ground. One was unresponsive and pronounced dead, while the other had a severe laceration and was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
It has not yet been confirmed whether the person who died also suffered lacerations. Police said the stabbing appears to have resulted from a fight between the two individuals, and investigators believe no other parties were involved. Authorities added that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
