LAS VEGAS – Brandon Cobb, 38, and Jessica Cobb, 36, both residents of Golden Valley, are facing charges of felony child abuse after their 10-year-old daughter reported abuse to school staff. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office stated that in February, the victim disclosed that her parents had been hitting her with an electrical cord and golf club as a form of discipline.
Upon investigating the case, authorities found that the injuries on the 10-year-old girl were consistent with the allegations of abuse. As a result, both Brandon and Jessica were arrested without incident and taken to the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility in Kingman, Arizona on Thursday.
Child abuse is a serious offense, and authorities are urging anyone who suspects abuse or neglect to report it to the proper authorities immediately. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office also reminds the public that all reports of abuse or neglect are kept confidential and that the safety and well-being of the child are the top priority.
