PETA Offers Reward for Information on Pet Peacock’s Killing in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS – In a heartfelt effort to bring justice to a tragic incident, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has announced a reward of up to $5,000 for any information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the individuals responsible for the heartless killing of a beloved pet peacock named Pete.

Pete, the enchanting peacock, met a tragic fate on August 21st when he was ruthlessly shot with arrows. Despite the valiant efforts of an exotic veterinarian, who attended to Pete after he was discovered injured near the intersection of West Charleston Boulevard and South Cimarron Road, the majestic bird succumbed to his wounds.

Authorities have initiated investigations into this distressing incident, with both Las Vegas Animal Protection Services and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department diligently pursuing leads to uncover the culprits behind this act of cruelty.

Colleen O’Brien, Senior Vice President of PETA, expressed the collective grief and outrage, stating, “This beloved peacock was shot twice with arrows and left to suffer by a cruel person obviously lacking empathy for others. PETA urges anyone with information to come forward so this killer can be held accountable and prevented from harming anyone else.”

PETA’s generous reward serves as a beacon of hope, encouraging individuals with knowledge about this heart-wrenching case to step forward and assist in the pursuit of justice.
