Las Vegas— Following a Thursday morning shooting, authorities are reacting to a tight barricade situation in northeast Las Vegas. The Metropolitan Police Department confirmed the incident occurred near a residence on the 3400 block of Goldyke Street, near North Lamb and North Las Vegas boulevards.
At 7:40 a.m., a call reported the shooting, causing local neighbors alarm. The SWAT squad and Crisis Negotiators were called in when a person refused to leave the residence.
No injuries have been reported yet. To reach a peaceful outcome, dialogue with the shooter continues.
Authorities advise neighbouring neighbours to stay alert and heed law enforcement’s directions to stay safe.
