LAS VEGAS – Police are investigating a shooting at an apartment complex that left a 19-year-old Hispanic man dead on Friday morning.
The incident occurred near East Craig Road and Las Vegas Boulevard North in the northeast part of the Las Vegas valley.
Several residents inside the apartment complex called 911 to report the shooting at around 4:30 a.m.
Officers arrived at the scene to find multiple shell casings but no witnesses who saw anything.
During welfare checks, officers discovered the victim’s body in a nearby apartment unit at around 7 a.m. The man was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
Investigators believe that the victim was arguing with someone outside the unit before going inside.
At present, police do not have a description or number of suspects. The LVMPD Homicide section has asked anyone with information about the shooting to call (702) 828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
