LAS VEGAS – As the impending arrival of Hurricane Hilary raises concerns about potential flooding, local authorities are taking proactive steps to assist residents. Las Vegas Fire and Rescue has announced sandbag distribution points to help citizens protect their properties.
In Las Vegas, sandbags can be obtained at the west yard located at 2950 Ronemus Dr., and the east yard at 3128 East Bonanza Road. The Sandbag Store at 2752 Abels Lane will also have sandbags available for public use.
For Henderson residents, sandbag pickup locations include Heritage Park Senior Facility at 30 S Racetrack Road and Whitney Ranch Recreation Center at 1575 Galleria Dr. Pickup times are Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon.
