LAS VEGAS – Rapper Blueface, whose real name is Johnathan Porter, has been charged with robbery after allegedly grabbing a phone out of a fan’s hand inside a Las Vegas casino, according to documents obtained by the 8 News Now Investigators. The incident occurred on Monday, May 29, when a person attempted to record Blueface and his girlfriend walking through the casino. A confrontation ensued, with Blueface allegedly punching the woman and grabbing her phone. The victim suffered swelling and soreness to her face.
Porter appeared in court on Wednesday, where he was arrested outside the courthouse. He paid his bond and is expected to return to court in July to face the robbery charge. It is reported that he is the only person facing charges related to the incident.
This is not the first legal trouble for Blueface, as he was previously arrested on an attempted murder charge last November. He was released on bail and is currently facing at least two civil cases related to the alleged shooting. His attorneys have requested a pause in the civil cases until the criminal proceedings are resolved.
Blueface’s attorneys, Lisa Rasmussen and Kristina Wildeveld, have stated that they do not have detailed information about the new case but are prepared to defend him in court for both charges.
