LAS VEGAS – The Mountain West Eatery has all hands on deck in the kitchen and dining area, but the proprietor has stated that more help is needed.
“I am a server, a servant, and I love it when people come into my restaurant and are satisfied,” said owner Rick Ruff.
Due to a lack of personnel, Ruff has stepped in to assist clients.
“We’re always understaffed, and we get yelped about it,” Ruff remarked.
The family-owned restaurant has been cooking for three years on Blue Diamond and launched just two days before COVID shut them down.
“We were on the verge of going bankrupt,” Ruff explained. “It was pretty much over for us.”
While things are currently working nicely on that front, they need to catch up on staffing.
“I live in a neighborhood with a lot of restaurants, so when they put an app in with me, they also put an app in with 7 other restaurants over here, so we’re all fighting with the same folks,” Ruff explained.
Mountain West Eatery employs a total of 12 employees, including servers and chefs. They currently have three to four employees.
Ruff suggested that if you need job, you come into the restaurant.
“Everything is done in-house, so it’s something you can be proud of,” Ruff added.
