LAS VEGAS – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) has said that an east Las Vegas road will be closed for a few days.
Monday, February 13, at 8:00 p.m., Stewart Ave. will be closed between Pecos Road and Sandhill Road. It will reopen at 5:00 a.m. Friday, February 17th.
NDOT says the closure is needed to set steel girders on the I-515/U.S. 95 bridge over Stewart Ave. as part of the ongoing I-515/Charleston Project, which aims to widen the freeway and cut travel time along the Charleston Curve.
The work is expected to go on until the spring of 2024.
Drivers should be careful when passing through work zones and, if possible, take a different route.
