HENDERSON — In a significant breakthrough, authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred earlier this week in Henderson. Donzell Campbell, 25, was apprehended on Thursday in a joint operation led by Henderson investigators and the FBI Criminal Apprehension Team.
Campbell has been booked into the Henderson Detention Center on multiple charges, including attempted robbery with a deadly weapon, attempted murder with a deadly weapon, and 13 counts of discharging a gun into an occupied vehicle, as reported by the city’s police department.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. on November 8th in the 3000 block of Saint Rose Parkway, just a few blocks west of Eastern Avenue. Prompt responses from city police and fire units revealed that two men had been shot, with one tragically losing his life and the second victim transported to a hospital in critical condition.
Henderson police confirm that this shooting marks the 10th homicide in the city for the year. The investigation is ongoing, with law enforcement working diligently to gather all the incident’s relevant details.
