Las Vegas, NV – A 15-year-old boy is facing murder charges after allegedly stabbing his sister to death in their apartment on North Pecos Road.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of the stabbing around 9:22 p.m. on October 5. Upon arrival, officers found the teenage suspect detained and a female victim suffering from apparent stab wounds. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives investigating the incident determined that an altercation between the siblings escalated into violence, resulting in the fatal stabbing. The 15-year-old suspect was subsequently arrested and taken into custody at the Clark County Juvenile Hall on a charge of open murder.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity, as well as the cause and manner of death in due course.
