Following the North Las Vegas Police Department’s holiday weekend DUI enforcement operation, over 200 people were cited and over a dozen were arrested.
The data were disclosed by the government on Monday, with the event intended to highlight the hazards of driving while drunk.
Total traffic stops were 166, with nine police on patrol on Saturday, September 3, and five officers on Sunday, September 4.
Of the 13 people detained, 11 were found guilty of DUI, one was found guilty of careless driving, and one was found guilty of drug possession.
The 204 tickets included 73 for speeding, 11 for distracted driving, and five for OCA infractions.
The remaining tickets were for various traffic violations such as driving without a driver’s license, no car registration, no insurance, a broken taillight, and others.
