LAS VEGAS, Nev. (702 Times, NV Globe) – A handful of the Vegas Golden Knights’ significant others assisted in spreading holiday pleasure to a local non-profit.
On Tuesday, Hayley Stone and Emily Karlsson were among the volunteers who delivered Cheer Boxes to SafeNest customers. They were assisted by their husbands, Mark Stone and William Karlsson.
To make clients feel special over the holidays, the boxes include goods such as slippers, socks, lotions, personal care products, and gift cards.
Hayley Stone stated that this is the third year that partners of Golden Knights players have come out to assist give the Cheer Boxes. She expressed gratitude for the outpouring of community support.
“It kind of shocks me how many donations we get each year,” she said. “I kind of get nervous. I feel like it won’t be the same, but it always is.”
Emily Karlsson expressed surprise at how beneficial the boxes are to the women who get them.
“It’s truly just an honor that we are able to do this,” she said. “It feels so good, and I know how much it’s appreciated.”
