LAS VEGAS – In a harrowing incident on Tuesday, a Henderson man allegedly killed his girlfriend before turning the gun on himself, concluding an intense four-and-a-half-hour SWAT standoff. The heart-wrenching event unfolded at a residence on Pepperell Avenue, and authorities worked diligently to resolve the situation peacefully.
The city’s police department revealed that officers responded to a distress call from family members who reported that the 70-year-old male suspect had confessed to shooting and killing his girlfriend and was contemplating suicide.
